FROM THE TREASURE OF IKOTI VILLAGE OF KSANI VALLEY

Abstract

The Ksani valley is one of the outstanding corners of Georgia with its rich historical past, archeological material, architectural monuments and national treasures that once existed there. Akhalgori treasure found in Nasoflar Gedeskar was enough to illustrate all this. Yulon Gagoshidze considered the items accidentally discovered during earthworks on Samarovan, washed away by the overflowing river, to be the most important archaeological monuments in the history of Georgia. Give Akhalgori's treasure to any unfortunate nation and that nation will have history - ordered Niko Ketskhoveli. The past of the village of Ikoti, located near Akhalgori, and the national treasure of our country present there also indicate the important role of Saeristavo of historical Ksani in the political, economic and cultural life of Georgia. Information about the holy icons, church items, and inscriptions that have reached us have been searched. The name of the village, which should be related to the man's own name, is explained.
