PRESENTATION OF GIVI LOBZHANIDZE’S BOOK “ROMAN LAW”

Abstract

The presentation of Professor Givi Lobzhanidze’s book “Roman Law” was or ganized at the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Technical University of Georgia.
The editor of the book is the famous lawyer, former chairman of the Constitutional Court, Professor Lado Chanturia, which confirms the qualitative standard of the book. And the authoritative specialists and reviewers - Roman Shengelia, Valeri Khrustali, Aleksandre Taliashvili, mean that the text is of a high academic level.
Professor Givi Lobzhanidze’s “Roman Law” is dedicated to almost all the important institutions of Roman law, which have not lost their relevance even in modern law, such as, for example, the division of law into private and public law.
In addition, the work corresponds to the established curricula and will be of great service to professors and teachers who teach Roman law courses in higher education institutions. The study is also of interest to researchers interested in Roman
law.
Givi Lobzhanidze’s research into issues that are not usually found in Roman law textbooks, such as financial and military law, deserves special mention.
