Abstract

The article reviews the topic of the burial of Saint Tamar Queen of Georgia and provides evidence on the presumed location; For the first time publishing the uncovered facts that allow demonstrate the amount of effort taken by the royal family, state, and the church of Georgia, to undertake what is the greatest clandestine operation of the Millenia, having no analogy worldwide, of secretly transporting the coffin of the queen, selection of the location for the burial, and the construction of unique temple - “Pantheon of Saint Tamar, Queen Of Georgia” - with utmost secrecy. The intended objective was accomplished flawlessly. The secret is now 800 years old.
It was not enough to just secretly bury the coffin. They also wanted to find a way to let the far future generations of Georgian people find out; to let them know the truth and give them a reason to be proud of their ancestors and saints, to pray for them, and be under their protection. The ways used for achieving these were uncovered and they’re covered in detail in the article.
