Abstract

The article discusses the issues of armament of the military organization of the Democratic Republic of Georgia as of 1918. This is both the regular army and the People’s Guard, and both, light and heavy weapons are discussed.
By 1918, the state of armament of the military organization of the Democratic Republic of Georgia was at its peak. It should be noted that the personnel of the armed forces of the other Transcaucasian republics, Armenia and Azerbaijan, as
well as the Ottoman Empire were provided with nearly the same types of indi- vidual firearms and artillery weapons. However, the Ottomans were outstanding in terms of the number of large-caliber siege artillery. As for the powerful technical means of firepower and infantry support, such as armored trains and armored cars, and even more so - aviation, the advantage of the Georgian side was obvious. Georgia was the only country in the region to have a fleet of armored trains, armored cars and aircraft by 1918.
