Abstract

In Georgia, first the social-democratic (Menshevik) and then communist (Bolshevik) party ruling caused ideas that already existed in Menshevik-Bolshevik parties to be established in the national ideology, and they went against every nationalist
notion. Both parties had the same goal, and none of the leaders was willing to compromise. Using Georgia’s geniuses’ gold fund, they wanted an international, revolutionary political mix to replace Illia’s ideology. It was a considerable challenge
to defend Illia’s patriotic heritage because the people opposing him stood high in power politically. Because of this, many social-political scientists stood by the ideas forced upon society by the government. A few put themselves at risk by
going against what the government ordered and trying to defend their patriotic heritage. A great example would be Giorgi Meliqishvili – A well-known Georgian historian and Academic. His goal was to portray Illia Chavchavadze and his worldview
without any lies. For this to happen, what must be done first is to set free of the falsified ideological views spread by the government.
