About the Journal
The journal “Proceedings of Georgian National Academy of Sciences, series of History, Archaeology, Ethnology and Art History” is an international scientific peer-reviewed electronic publication. The aim of the journal is to provide the scientific society with information about latest researches in History, Archaeology, Ethnology and Art History. Also it publishes scientific researches in the following fields/subfields: Prehistory, The History of the Ancient World, Medieval History, Modern and Contemporary History, History of Civilization, History of Religion, Social and Economic History, History of Diplomacy, History of Political Thought, The Philosophy of History, Source Studies,The History of Historical Thought, Historiography, Chronology, Historical Geography, Genealogy, Heraldry, Metrology, Glyptic, Numismatics, Bonistics, Paleography, Diplomatics, Sphragistics, Epigraphy, Mythology, Archaeology, Ethnography, Ethnology, Cultural Anthropology, Art History. The journal publishes papers of international scientific conferences (forums, symposiums etc.), reports of scientific expeditions and reviews.
The journal has an international editorial board. The journal is based on OJS (Open Journal Systems) system of worldwide recognized electronic publications. OJS exists to serve Authors as well as journals. Not only does OJS provide an easy-to-use submission process, it can collect and disseminate key information about Authors and their work across important research and citation databases, including Google Scholar, PubMed, DOAJ (the Directory of Open Access Journals), and others. As an Author, your tasks include submission; submitting revised copy; copyediting; and proofreading. To make a submission, you must have a user account and be enrolled as an Author. User accounts can either be created by the Journal Manager or, if journal policies allow, you can register yourself. Once you have an account, log in to the journal site and select the role of Author.
Articles in the journal are published in Georgian, English, German, Russian and Turkish language. The article should be accompanied by abstracts and keywords in English and the original languages of the article. The paper submitted for publication must be in the APA citation style of the American Psychological Association. The work should be structured according to IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion) format. Articles are selected by anonymous referral.
The journal has been published since 1971 years. It has been come out since 2012 year. Issues are published in June and December. Articles submitted for publication are checked for plagiarism using the Turnitin program.
